Obex Dental Nurse awarded Highly Commended, Abigail Castle

We are delighted to announce that our Lead Care Co-ordinator, Abbi Castle, has been awarded a Highly Commended at this year’s Dentistry Awards. The award was for Abbi’s overall exemplary level of service to Obex but specifically her work on our community diabetes testing, our care homes initiative delivering oral healthcare and advice and her work training her Obex colleagues.

Abbi has worked with Obex for 9 years and during this time she has grown and developed from Trainee Dental Nurse to Lead Care Co-ordinator, her current position with us.

She is such a valued member of the team for her professional work, her tireless enthusiasm, her commitment to patients and her desire to be exceptional. A big congratulations to Abbi from the whole of Obex for a much-deserved award and recognition for her hard work.

In response to her award, Abbi said “I was so excited to hear that I was nominated, let alone shortlisted in the first place. When I saw that I had been highly commended I couldn’t believe my eyes! Everything I do has been fully supported by Obex and they have always helped me build on my skills and my confidence to be working on such incredible projects in the first place”.
