Christmas Carnival
Sunday, November 27 was the annual Harpenden Christmas Carnival. The Carnival included Santa’s Grotto, food stalls, outdoor bars, a funfair and the Christmas market. There was also live entertainment and a traditional procession, culminating in the Christmas Lights Switch On by the Harpenden Town Mayor and the winner of the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition.
During the Carnival, members of the Obex team in Harpenden opened the doors of a very festive HC4D practice to members of the public, who were able to learn about Invisalign and other specialist services. Assif was also on hand to provide specialist advice where needed.
Throughout the event, we were actively promoting our community work with local schools and our commitment to the Dallaglio RugbyWorks and JR Sports Stars charities. As part of our fundraising efforts, there were plenty of treats, drinks and fun activities on offer for families including wreath-making and gingerbread decorating under the expert guidance of our volunteers. As you can see, we had some very talented visitors and volunteers. By the end of the day, we had raised a fantastic £261.20 in donations! All proceeds from the event will be shared between the two charities.
Our thanks to Abbi, Assif, Iram, Robyn, Steph, Tarryn and Tina for volunteering their time before, during and after the Carnival to make this such an enjoyable start to the festive season for everyone and boosting our fundraising efforts.
